Could I lose it, and by when?
Low risk, permit 88643-F is for a built well and stays in force
It's lost only if the well is plugged or its conditions aren't kept.
Why, who decides and sources
Why
DWR records the well under permit 88643-F as constructed.
The figures
- Basalt Water Conservancy District allotment contract: Augmentation comes from the District's Ruedi and Green Mountain contract water; a well needs a valid permit with a working meter under the contract, and the District can withhold water for unpaid charges. Named in its own record: the well permit names plan case 02CW0077. Ask the Basalt Water Conservancy District (bwcd.org).
- Domestic means household use for up to three homes, fire protection, watering poultry, domestic animals and livestock, and up to an acre of home gardens and lawns, at no more than 15 gallons a minute.
Who decides
